Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to add later!
- Hani brings in a pair of mismatched mittens, one of which was knitted for her by a house-mate, and the other of which was left behind in her house by another house-mate, and which she found after losing one of the original pair. Bård awards her fourth place.
- Leo brings in an old pair of trainers, and uses a play on words to argue for them, saying he has 'walked' in them a lot, and that they have been 'good' for him (the Norwegian words for 'good' and 'walked' sound the same). Bård awards him last place for what he perceives as a lack of effort.
- Lars brings in a pair of cakes he has made in the shape of shoes. Bård tastes the cake, and says that it actually tastes really good, so he awards Lars first place.
- Karin brings in two large glass bowls: one containing crème fraîche flavoured Sørlandschips (a brand of crisps); and the other containing wafer-thin Freia brand milk hearts. She says she likes to eat the two snack foods together, for a cosy evening. Bård tastes the combination, but does not enjoy it, and awards her third place.
- Vidar brings in a bottle of Spenol (a popular brand of Norwegian hand lotion) and a copy of Playboy magazine from 1979. When challenged by Bård on his choice, given the family-friendly nature of the show, he has a perfectly reasonable and innocent explanation for why it's a good pair, involving a childhood outbreak of eczema, and the in-depth interviews with actors and directors from the movie ET which he says featured in the magazine. Bård awards him second place for his story.
