Task brief

The actual text of the task brief is not known. The text below is paraphrased based on information disclosed in the episode:

I'm going to show you some words.

The word I show you, you must try to get Bård to say.

You do that in the following way: you ask Bård a question of exactly six words - no more, no less.

One person cannot say all six words. You must say two words each.

Task notes

  • Bård is seated on his throne in the middle of the stage.
  • The contestants are lined up in their teams on either side of the stage, slightly behind Bård.
  • Olli stands next to the team of two with a chalkboard, on which the teams' words are written.
  • Five rounds of the game are played, as the winning team is the first to reach 3 points.

Attempts

Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to add later!

  • Hani and Vidar go first, and try to convey the word 'larva' ['larve'] to Bård with the question "What is the butterfly's start before then?" ["Hva er sommerfuglens start før da?"]. After Bård incorrectly guesses 'Pupa', the word passes to the other team. Karin, Leo and Lars' question for Bård is "Can you fish with this thing?" ["Kan du fiske med dette her?"], and he correctly guesses the word, giving the team of three their first point. After this point in the task, there are no more actual questions used by either team, who instead resort to non-questioning statements. The team of three successfully convey the word 'vacuum cleaner' ['støvsuger'] to Bård with the phrase "I use this when I'm cleaning" ["Dette bruker jeg når jeg rydder"], earning their second point. Hani and Vidar then somehow successfully convey the word 'bird tail/butt' ['stjert'] to Bård using the phrase "Cute little back of you have" ["Snuppen liten bakdel på du har"], bringing the score to 1-2. The team of three then attempt to convey the word 'gluten' to Bård using the phrase "Can't tolerate Olli and the flour's troubles" ["Tåler ikke Olli og melets plagsomheter"] However, just before Bård is about to correctly name the word, Leo unnecessarily begins to explain how Olli is gluten-intolerant, and thus starts saying the word himself. He therefore gives away the point to the team of two, by accidentally cheating, bringing the score to 2-2. Hani and Vidar have the first attempt at the final word, 'silk' ['silke'], with the phrase "The fabric's thin friend from the softness is..." ["Stoffets tynne venn fra mykheten er..."], which is dismissed by Bård as an invalid sentence. The word thus passes over to the team of three, who come up with the phrase "The fabric is larva-made and comfortable" ["Stoffet er larvelaget og behagelig"]. After it is pointed out that this phrase only contains five words, Leo tries to argue against that judgment, stating that the sentence was "The fabric is silk-made and comfortable" ["Stoffet er silkelaget og behagelig"]. Besides the fact that this phrase also consists of just five words, it means that he again uses the target word himself, and gives away the winning point to the opposing team. Hani and Vidar thus win the task with a score of 3-2. The winning team receive 5 points each, and the losing team score just 1 each. Lars points out that they should have been warned that one of the teams had a mole on it.
