Task brief
The brief for the task is as follows:
Throw your egg and your spoon the same distance.
Both the egg and the spoon must pass the qualifying line.
If your egg or your spoon doesn’t pass the qualifying line, or falls off the playing field, you’re out of the contest.
The person with the longest distance between egg and spoon every round is eliminated.
Last person remaining wins.
Task notes
- The contestants are lined up on stage behind tables, each of which has five eggs and five spoons on it, painted the same colour (with each contestant having been assigned a different colour).
- In front of the tables, there is a circular mark on the stage, marking the position from which they must throw their eggs and spoons.
- A runway extension has been added to the front of the stage, for them to throw the eggs and spoons onto.
- After the task brief is read, David clarifies that measurements will be taken from the epicentre of the eggs’ spilled, dyed contents to the closest point of the spoon.
