Task brief

The brief for the task is as follows:

Throw your egg and your spoon the same distance.

Both egg and spoon must cross the qualifying line.

If either your egg or spoon fall of The Knappett, you are disqualified.

The most distanced egg and spoon each round are out.

If your egg doesn't break, your distance is halved.

Last player standing wins.

Attempts

Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to add later!

  • Dara's first egg and spoon land close together. He survives rounds two and three, and his round four throw wins him the task.
  • Fern's first egg and spoon land quite close together. In the second round, her spoon lands very far away from her egg, but she survives the round after Sarah's egg does not make the qualifying line. She survives round three, but her round four throws land further apart than Dara's so she earns second place.
  • John throws his first egg high but lands it safely, and his spoon lands very close to it. However, Munya's first egg throw manages to nudge John's egg further away from his spoon, so he is eliminated, earning last place.
  • Munya's first egg throw manages to move John's first egg further away from his spoon, and he manages to land his own spoon quite close to his egg. In the second round, he throws his egg really hard, causing it to slide very far away from his spoon. However, he survives the round after Sarah's egg does not make the qualifying line. He is eliminated in round three, though, after his unbroken egg rolls into the remains of Sarah's failed throw and gets stuck behind the qualifying line, earning him third place.
  • In the first round, Sarah throws her spoon before her egg, and manages to land them very close together. In the second round, her egg falls short of the qualifying line, and she is eliminated, earning fourth place.
