The task brief is nestled amongst a few small items on the worktable in front of the shed. The brief for the task is as follows:
Invent a tool that benefits humanity.
You have 60 minutes to invent, and then 60 seconds to sell, your tool.
Your time starts now.
If your invention becomes a big success, Babben owns the rights to it.
Task notes
- The small items on the workbench include a lightbulb, a cheese slicer, a wrench, a model bicycle, and a whoopie cushion.
- Former FIFA referee Jonas Eriksson is brought in as the guest judge for the task. Although he’s presented as being qualified due to being “used to making difficult decisions on the football field”, he actually has a background in business and sales (specifically, buying and selling television rights), so he’s not wholly unqualified.
