Task brief

The brief for the task is as follows:

Throw your things far, but not too far.

Taking it in turns you must select a thing, and throw it beyond the line, but not off the runway.

If your thing does not end up in the safe zone you are disqualified.

If all objects end up in the safe zone, the person who has thrown their thing the shortest distance is disqualified.

You may not manipulate your things in any way before throwing them.

Last player standing wins.

Attempts

Here's a brief description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on writing up some additional detail, though!

  • David chose the rubber egg, which kept rolling back and forth over the line until David started jumping up and down on the stage. It ended up not passing the line.
  • Ed chose the rubber egg, assuming it was a normal egg. It bounced off the runway, and he was eliminated first.
  • Jo first chose the grain of rice, which she managed to throw into the safe zone. She then chose the pool noodle for the final round, which she threw off the runway.
  • Katy chose the rubber egg, which did not land in the safe zone.
  • Rose first chose the pool noodle, which only just tgot past the line. She then chose the grain of rice, which she threw into the safe zone.
