Hold the jugs above the microwaves
- In this task, the contestants are initially advised against opening the task brief by the Taskmaster's assistant.
- When they do open the task brief, they learn that they have to hold two large jugs (e.g. plastic bottles of milk, or coffee pots) over two microwaves in the room, for as long as possible, and that if they'd listened to the Taskmaster's assistant's advice, they'd probably have done much better.

In this version of the task, there is no time limit or disqualification rule.
Adapted versions
In this version of the task, there is a timer counting down from 30 minutes and, if the timer reaches zero, the contestants are disqualified. There is also a large cooking pot in the room, which the contestants could use to empty the milk into, if they think quickly enough.
In this version of the task, the contestants are given two full coffee pots to hold, rather than two jugs of milk.
In this version of the task, the bottles container water, rather than milk.
In this version of the task, there are two jugs full of different flavours of cordial drinks on top of the microwaves.
