Your time stops when you lower the bottles.
You must lift them now.
Task notes
- In the 20 January 2023 episode of the Taskmaster: The People's Podcast, New Zealand task writer Sam Smith revealed that Paul Williams came up with the idea of having a task where he would advise the contestants not to open the task brief. Sam himself came up with the idea that the contestants would have to lift something above two microwaves.

Here's a brief description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on writing up some additional detail, though!
- David trusted Paul and refused to open the task, instead having a cup of tea with Paul and chatting, and later having their lunch in the room whilst the crew broke for lunch. Whilst he initially read the task wrong, thinking he would lose, he then realised that he had been going for over an hour and immediately lowered the milk bottles. He lowered the milk bottles after 1 hour and 24 minutes, receiving 5 points.
- Guy was confused by Paul's warning so decided to immediately open the task. He lowered the milk bottles after 5 minutes and 56 seconds, receiving 3 points.
- Laura initially trusted Paul but was conflicted about opening the task, eventually opening it. She lowered the milk bottles after 19 minutes and 6 seconds, receiving 4 points.
- Matt didn't trust Paul so immediately opened the task. He lowered the milk bottles after 3 minutes and 32 seconds, receiving 1 point.
- Urzila initially microwaved the milk, before deciding to open the task. She lowered the milk bottles after 4 minutes and 50 seconds, receiving 2 points.
