Task brief
The task brief is found on the table in the lab, between two microwaves. The brief for the task is as follows:
Lift the coffee pots and hold them over their respective microwaves.
Your time started when you entered the room.
Your time stops when you lower the pots.
Task notes
- On top of each microwave, there is a full coffee pot.
- As they enter the room, Olli warns each contestant not to open the task brief yet.

Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to add later!
- Leo immediately decides to trust Olli, and not open the task brief. He eventually asks Olli when he would open it, and then again trusts his advice to wait, noting that it could turn out to be a long working day, and that they'd have to see what the TV production union would have to say about it (thus coining the episode title). However, it is then revealed that Leo subsequently screws himself over by deciding to press the reset button on Olli's timer, and read the task brief, after about 12 minutes. After lifting the coffee pots for just a few seconds, while re-reading the task brief, he - for some reason - decides to put them straight back down, despite presumably having the upper body strength to hold them up for longer than many of the other contestants. He thus ends up with a time of just 20 seconds.
- Hani decides to read the task brief after just 22 seconds. After lifting the coffee pots, she asks Olli to move the microwaves to the floor for her, which he declines to do. While she is berating Olli for not helping her out, she accidentally lets one of the coffee pots drop and hit the top of the microwave. Before leaving the room, she confesses that she regrets not having listened to him at the start of the task. In the studio, Olli reveals that she lowered the coffee pots after 4 minutes and 13 seconds, which initially earns her fourth place. However, after the subsequent 'Do something better' task, in which Hani chose to redo her attempt at this task, and Bård allowed her improved attempt to apply retroactively, her ranking in this task was updated to first place.
- Vidar decides to read the task brief after 1 minute and 20 seconds. However, he reads it without actually breaking the seal, by simply pushing on its folded edges and looking down the middle. After holding the coffee pots for a while, he climbs up to stand on the table, so he doesn't have to hold them up so high. During the process of climbing up, it's pretty clear that the coffee pot in his left hand touches the top of the microwave, but this is never mentioned. After a few minutes standing on the table, he squats and then kneels down, switching the positions of his arms so they are out at his sides. As he begins signing Celine Dion's My Heart Will Go On - presumably in reference to the movie Titanic (for which it was the theme tune), based on his posture - he accidentally lets the coffee pot in his right hand drop slightly and touch the microwave below. In the studio, Olli reveals that Vidar lowered the coffee pots after 9 minutes and 27 seconds, which initially secures him third place. However, after the subsequent 'Do something better' task, in which Hani chose to redo her attempt at this task, and Bård allowed her improved attempt to apply retroactively, Vidar's ranking in this task dropped down to fourth.
- Karin immediately starts to get stressed out by the fact that there is a timer running while Olli is telling her not to open the task brief. After about 2 minutes, she decides to ignore his advice and open the task brief. After standing and holding the coffee pots for a while, she climbs up and kneels on the table between the microwaves, to make it easier. She then realises that she could make it easier on herself by emptying the coffee from the pots. However, in the process of trying to unscrew the lid of the one in her right hand using her chin, she accidentally lets the one in her left hand drop and touch the top of the microwave. She refuses to accept that this happened, though, and chooses to remain in the lab and hold the coffee pots a while longer, insisting that there was no 'gong' sound, after Olli leaves the room. In the studio, Olli reveals that she managed to achieve a time of 23 minutes and 21 seconds, which initially puts her in second place. However, after the subsequent 'Do something better' task, in which Hani chose to redo her attempt at this task, and Bård allowed her improved attempt to apply retroactively, Karin's ranking in this task dropped down to third.
- Lars immediately decides to trust Olli, and not open the task brief. He leaves the lab and returns with another pot of coffee and two mugs, and just hangs out with Olli for a while. However, he is disappointed that he can't get a conversation flowing with Olli, who he has known since they were at school together. After 17 minutes, he leaves the lab, and doesn't return again until the timer reads 1 hour, 43 minutes, and 24 seconds (it's unclear what happened in the interim, but it seems very unlikely that the production crew just stood their waiting for him to return for almost an hour and a half). He decides to open the task brief, and then immediately regrets his decision. However, he finds a way to hold the coffee pots up with his elbows on top of the microwaves, which makes it significantly easier. He decides to put the coffee pots down after about 1 hour and 51 minutes. In the studio, he remains unsure whether he'd done the right thing, apparently anticipating being caught out by some rule that would mean he'd be disqualified. However, Bård assures him that he'd successfully completed the task, and initially awards him first place. However, after the subsequent 'Do something better' task, in which Hani chose to redo her attempt at this task, and Bård allowed her improved attempt to apply retroactively, Lars' ranking in this task dropped down to second.

Notes on task scores
- Lars was initially the winner of this task, and Hani placed fourth. However, in the subsequent 'Do something better' task, Hani chose to redo her attempt at this task, and Bård allowed her improved attempt to apply retroactively, so she became the actual winner, and everyone else except Leo moved down one place.
