Roisin Conaty
Biography
Roisin Conaty’s sitcom GameFace, which she created, writes and stars in, aired its first series on E4 in late 2017, quickly followed by a US release on Hulu. This series followed the success of the pilot, which aired on the channel in 2014.
Roisin is a brilliant and multi-talented comedian and actress. Having won the Foster’s Edinburgh Comedy Award 2010 for Best Newcomer, Roisin is now one of the nation’s favourite comic faces on television, appearing regularly on hugely popular entertainment shows such as Have I Got News For You (BBC One), 8 Out of 10 Cats does Countdown (Channel 4), Would I Lie To You (BBC One), and the new Channel 4 edition of The Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice, having been a series regular on the BBC2 series. In March 2018, she also appeared on the Stand Up to Cancer Celebrity Bake Off edition.
Roisin is also known for her starring roles in Impractical Jokers (BBC3) and as Jo in the much-loved Man Down (Channel 4), the latter of which she returned to in 2017 for the fourth series. In 2015, she appeared in the first series of Broadcast award nominated Taskmaster (Dave) and Russell Howard’s Stand Up Central (Comedy Central).
Other TV and Radio appearances include 8 Out of 10 Cats (Channel 4), Room 101 (BBC1), Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled (Dave), BBC Three’s hit show Russell Howard’s Good News, A League Of Their Own (Sky1), Travel Man with Richard Ayoade (Channel 4), The Last Leg (Channel 4), Very British Problems (Channel 4), Alternative Election Show (Channel 4), Dave’s One Night Stand (Dave channel), The News Quiz (Radio 4), Virtually Famous (E4), Celebrity Advice Bureau (W Channel), Duck Quacks Don’t Echo (Sky1), The Jonathan Ross Show (ITV1) and Dilemma (Radio 4). At the end of 2012, she also hosted her own one hour comedy special called Roisin Conaty’s What If? for BBC Radio 1.
