Attempts

Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to add later!

  • Solveig spends a lot of time thinking, complaining that the task is very vague. After a lengthy period of sitting on a chair in a doorway, she decides to build a treehouse. She uses some small wood structures to make the outline of the cabin. She adds some greenery decoration around the cabin, noting that it is not exactly what she had in mind. She then considers what Atle, specifically, would think is the best cabin, and adds a bottle of liquor based on that. She notes that the cabin is a miniature, and that the bottle is twice as big as the bed so, in reality, it is a lot of alcohol. She earns fourth place, avoiding last due to the addition of alcohol.
  • Steinar claims to be very handy and that this task is suited to him. Before his clip his shown, he acknowledges that it didn’t go well. He begins by aimlessly sticking some poles and rods together, and setting them up in a room. He states that he hasn’t destroyed anything, before proceeding to knock a vase over, which hits a chair and then lands on a rug, remarkably unbroken except for a small chip. He apparently has no plan, and is shown randomly searching for things around the room to use in the cabin. When finished, he laughs at the cabin, saying it’s a lot worse than he thought. The cabin turns out to be some curtains and blankets hung over the poles he set up, with some cushions on the floor. Steinar sits in the cabin holding a shotgun. He earns last place.
  • Amir builds a miniature cabin on the floor out of books, using upright ones as walls and open ones as a roof. He also spends a lot of time setting up the surroundings: putting an eagle figure on a chair overlooking the cabin; setting up a painting as a backdrop; placing some grass around the cabin; and pouring water on the floor to create a sea. He earns third place.
  • Einar drapes a blanket over the desk, then places another table on top, and puts a blanket over that as well. His cabin therefore has two floors. He adds some bonus luxuries, including nuts (which Einar and Olli are both allergic to), crossword and sudoku puzzles, an owl lamp (upstairs), a globe lamp (downstairs), and a Pepsi Max on each level. Einar enters the top floor of his cabin, and Olli rests below him on the floor. Olli admits that it was very cosy, and Einar earns second place.
  • Ida decides to create a cabin with a view. She places a table next to an upstairs window and hangs some blankets to make an enclosed cabin. She creates a bonfire on the windowsill, and drinks a beer while lounging and looking out of the window. She spots a cat from her vantage point, which makes her happy. Olli also joins her in the cabin. She earns first place.
