The initial task brief is presented in the lab, hanging from a purple board mounted on the ceiling. The second task brief is presented to the contestants when they arrive at Antoine’s location. The briefs for the task are as follows:

To Marie-Lyne, Mona, and Tammy:

Go to the terrace.

You must arrive at the terrace within a minute following Antoine’s arrival.

To Kevin and Phil:

Go to the study.

You must arrive at the study within a minute following Antoine’s arrival.

To Marie-Lyne, Mona, and Tammy:

List all of the things that were hanging from the ceiling in the lab.

Also, say the colour of the board on the ceiling.

Also, say what Antoine said to you in the lab.

Also hanging from the board in the lab are a peacock feather, a small wooden Adirondack chair, a water pistol, some rope, a plastic ram figurine, a red plastic noise-maker shaped like two hands clapping, a pocket knife with the name Louis on it, an empty salt shaker, and a mustard bottle.
Antoine’s phrases include: “Hello!”; “Please move slowly towards the circle.”, “Welcome to the manor.”; “We’ll ask you not to sit down.”; “Nice walk!”; “Whoops!”; “You look very nice today.”; “Balloons, balls, marbles, and billiards.”; “Shh!”; “Are you ready? You look ready. I’m ready.”; and “There’s your task. You should open it as soon as I leave the room.”.
Phil is seen using a crutch during this task, which suggests that his attempt was shot around the time he injured himself during his attempt at the ‘Fill an eggcup with sweat’ task.
