Task brief

The task brief is presented to the contestants on the skip slope by Antoine. The brief for the task is as follows:

Put the bag of salt on that table over there.

No-one may move whilst holding the bag of salt.

If the bag of salt touches the ground at any point, you must return to your starting point.

If any bell touches the ground at any point, you must return to your starting point.

You may not touch the rope or your belts.

Task notes

The contestants are stood on low platforms on the ski slope, linked together by lengths of rope, which are attached by carabiners to belts around their waists.
Where their ropes meet in the middle, a collection of spherical bells have been attached.
About 10 metres away from their starting position, there is a large table, dressed with a red tablecloth, two red candles in candlestick, and two place-settings consisting of white plates and crystal wine glasses.
On top of this table, there is a clear plastic bag containing what appears to be salt (but is actually sugar).
The similar bag which actually contains the salt (and has the French word for salt - ‘sel’ – written upon it) is laid on the grass behind this table, where the contestants cannot initially see it.
There is a smaller table with a red tablecloth and a vase of flowers on it about 10 metres to the right of the first table (from the point of view of the camera), which is where the contestants need to get the salt to.
