Task briefs
The initial task brief is held by David on the driveway of the Bäst i Test house. The briefs for the task are as follows:
Walk the entire lucky tour, and then flip five ‘tails’ in a row.
Fastest to flip five tails in a row wins.
Your time starts on David’s signal.
Walk under the ladder, or place it in the gazebo.
Let the black cat pass you, or carry it throughout the rest of the task.
Put keys on the table, or collect exactly 13 krona.
Break the mirror, or admire your appearance for 60 seconds.
Open the umbrella in the lab, or shut 13 umbrellas in the study.
Flip five ‘tails’ in a row.
Task notes
- Also lined up on the driveway, there are six small tables, each holding their own mini-task and related props: next to the first table, there is a step ladder; on the second table, there is a toy black cat on a leash; on the third table, a set of keys is hanging from a small stand, and there is a jar full of coins; on the fourth table, there is a small mirror and a hammer; on the fifth table, there is a folded umbrella; on the final table, there is single coin.
- In Sweden, putting keys on a table is considered very unlucky. Historically, this dates back to when prostitutes would place their keys on the table to indicate their availability, but it has since morphed into a superstitious practice.
- Should the contestants choose to put the ladder in the gazebo, they may spot a large red arrow pointing to a double-sided coin.
- Should the contestants choose to fold the umbrellas in the study, they might also spot an arrow next to the door leading into the hallway, pointing to another double-sided coin.
- Notably, the double-sided coins seen in this task appear to actually be two normal coins glued together, rather than novelty coins with the same design minted on both sides.
- David makes sure to point out how unlucky certain options are, at each station.
