In this version of the task, there is no requirement that the relative called must be older than the contestant. There is also an additional rule specifying that the contestants may not leave any silences of longer than five seconds in the conversations.
Task brief
The task brief is held by David in the study. The brief for the task is as follows:
Get a member of your family to hang up on you, without mentioning anything about the person needing to hang up.
You may not have any silences that are longer than five seconds.
If your family member suspects anything, you’re disqualified.
The person whose family member is the quickest to hang up wins.
You have one attempt.
Your time starts when they answer.
Task notes
- David is standing next to an ornate, carved wooden chair, and hands the contestants the task brief once they’ve sat down in the chair.
