The task brief is sealed inside a plastic sleeve, submerged in some soapy water in the lab. The brief for the task is as follows:
Make soap.
Best soap wins.
You have 29 seconds to order your ingredients, and 20 minutes to make the soap.

Task notes
- On the table in the lab, there is a kitchen sink installed in a wooden box.
- The sink is full of soapy water, and there are a pair of marigold washing up gloves on the drainer.
- There is also a small towel on the table, for the contestants to dry their hands on, after retrieving the task brief.
- Once the contestant’s chosen ingredients have been procured, they find them laid out in bowls on the table in the lab.
- Paul tests the soaps by putting soil on his hands and then washing it off in the sink in the lab.
