In this version of the task, the team members are fastened together, back-to-back, with belts, and must present their arguments for or against each moot one word at a time, rotating literally and figuratively between their team-members. Also, one team is always arguing in the affirmative, while the other is always arguing in the negative.

The brief for the task is as follows:
Win more debates than the other team.
Each team will get 45 seconds to deliver their arguments on each moot.
Each team member may only say one word before rotating so their team-mate can say the next word.
Each word must be said into the microphone.
Tom will state the first moot, and the affirmative team will begin on his whistle.

Task notes
- The contestants are standing back-to-back in their teams, each wearing belts which are fastened together behind their backs.
- Each team is stood behind a podium with a microphone on it.
- The team of two’s podium is labelled ‘Affirmative’, while the team of three’s is labelled ‘Negative’, and each team is always arguing from that standpoint.
