Task brief
The brief for the task is as follows:
Win the great debate.
Each round, you will be given a moot that your team must argue either for or against.
Your argument must consist of exactly six lines.
Your team must alternate lines.
Every second line must rhyme.
Best rhyming argument wins.
Your time starts on Paul's whistle.
Task notes
- The contestants are arranged in their teams on stage, each person sat at an old-fashioned single-person school desk.
- The task brief is located inside Chris Parker's desk.
- Although only three debate rounds are shown in the episode, an individual who attended the filming of this episode disclosed that they actually went through five rounds in studio, alternating which team would argue the affirmative, and which would argue the negative, with the affirmative always starting, and the person who started on each team alternating.
- Because only the first, third, and fifth rounds were kept in the edit, it makes it appear that Paul and Chris were always arguing the affirmative, and that Paul always started his team's argument.
- The existence of five rounds also better explains how the points were assigned to the teams for the task.
- The moots shown in the episode were 'Bees are good', 'Spoons are the best utensils', and 'Dancing should be illegal'.
