Task brief

The task brief is found on a plinth, in an area of the Bäst i Test house’s garden, along with five cartons of sour milk. The brief for the task is as follows:

Get the sour milk into the fridge from as far away as possible.

Your last attempt counts.

You have 20 minutes.

Your time starts now.

Task notes

  • A distance away from the plinth, there is a refrigerator with a padlocked chain around it.
  • In order to open the fridge, the contestants must retrieve the key which they hid during the ‘Make a key difficult to retrieve’ task, earlier in the episode.

Attempts

Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to add later!

  • Upon discovering that the fridge is locked, it takes Linnéa a while to remember that she had disposed of the key earlier in the day. She tells David that while the key is not impossible to retrieve, it is very difficult (Linnéa threw the key into the water from a place that does not have easy access into the water). She says that she won’t even try to retrieve it (likely because she was injured getting it into the water in the first place). Linnéa hands the task back to David and returns to the house. She earns last place.
  • Edvin runs down to the docks to search for the bathtub in which he hid the key, and sees that the bathtub has floated over to an adjacent property. He takes off his clothes and jumps into the water, swimming over to the tub and retrieving the key. While he leaves the water clad only in his boxers, Edvin requests that the production blur his body. Edvin’s body remains blurred for the rest of his task footage, until he covers it up. He returns to the fridge and unlocks it, then runs to the shed when he realises he needs something to help him throw the milk. Edwin returns with a small container, and wearing a gold curtain as a toga. He declares that he is terrible at throwing, but his first throw lands in the fridge and remains there. David tells Edvin that he has time for another shot, but reminds him that the last attempt is the one that counts. Edvin’s next few throws miss, though one does bounce off the ground and enter the fridge, only to roll back out. Edvin takes one more throw and lands the milk in the fridge, where the carton breaks, covering one of the shelves in milk. With a distance of 16 metres and 63 centimetres, Edvin earns third place.
  • Marko runs to the shed in search of a ladder. He settles for David’s referee chair, and drags it to the part of the house where he’d earlier lodged the football in the gutter. He retrieves the football and takes it down to the fridge, where he cuts the football open to retrieve the key. By the time he has done this, Marko only has 15 minutes left to complete the task. He lays the fridge down on the ground, and removes all of the shelves from inside of it. His first throw lands directly in the fridge. David tells Marko that he has time for another shot, but reminds him that the last attempt is the one that counts. Marko’s second throw misses, so he decides that he needs some sort of a backboard. He drags the fridge to a nearby tree, and turns it so that the door rests against the tree trunk, creating a backboard. Presumably realising he is down to his last carton, Marko gathers a few tennis balls and pours the milk over them. His second tennis ball lands in the fridge. David then goads Marko into taking another shot, declaring that it will look like Marko has “given up”. Marko takes the bait, and throws another tennis ball from a few steps further back. Thankfully, this shot also lands in the fridge. With a distance of 17 metres and 62 centimetres, Marko earns second place.
  • Nikki is either not bothered by the lock on the fridge, or did not immediately notice that the fridge was locked, after reading the task. Off-camera, she goes to the shed and comes back with a lacrosse stick. She then reveals that she has had the key in her pocket the entire time, and simply unlocks the fridge, giving her nearly the full 20 minutes to complete the task. She uses the lacrosse stick to throw her milk cartons. The first misses, and nearly hits David. The second gets trapped in the lacrosse stick and stays there during her second and third attempts. She manages to use the lacrosse stick to get a carton of milk into the fridge while standing directly in front of it. The carton bounces out, but Nikki points out that a few drops of milk had remained on the shelf. She finally abandons the lacrosse stick and underhand-throws a carton towards the fridge. The carton hits the ground in front of the fridge, and rolls under the protruding crisper drawer, which is counted as successfully getting the milk into the fridge (it’s likely some of the milk from that throw also splashed into the fridge). With a distance of 9 metres and 80 centimetres, Nikki earns fourth place.
  • Henrik removes the key from inside of his underwear and unlocks the fridge. This leaves him nearly the full 20 minutes to complete the task. He rolls the fridge further away from the plinth, and runs a long piece of rope from the plinth to the fridge, creating a pulley system. He pulls on the rope, which slowly but surely drags one of the milk cartons into the fridge (though Henrik needs to climb a tree to finish the last bit, since the rope is so long). With a distance of 55.5 metres, Henrik wins the task.
