The task brief is inside the hoodie pocket of a teenager, who is waiting for the contestants in the lab. The brief for the task is as follows:
Make this teenager think you're cool.
You have 10 minutes to talk to the teenager, then 10 further minutes to be cool.
Most cool wins.
Your time starts now.
Task notes
- The teenager, named Pearl (daughter of New Zealand actor Nicole Whippy), is sat on an office chair in the lab, looking at her phone.
- A less comfortable folding chair is placed opposite her, for the contestant.

Notes on task scores
- Although it appears that Jeremy awarded the points in this task, it was revealed on Ray O'Leary's social accounts that Pearl had completed an 'Adult Grading Form' for each contestant, ranking them on scales of between 1 and 20 for 'Vibe Check', 'Style', 'Chill Factor', 'Non Cringe', and 'Hits Different'. This was presumably taken into account when ranking the contestants.
