Task brief

The brief for the task is as follows:

Simultaneously toss both your shoes off the stage.

Furthest apart landed shoes each round will be eliminated.

The first round, you must throw the shoes with one in each hand.

You cannot attach your shoes together in any way.

Last person standing wins.

Task notes

The contestants are lined up side by side on stage, standing on circular red TM market spots.
There is a pair of white slippers provided for each contestant, next to their spot, to optionally wear while throwing their own shoes.
After the task brief is read, Paul clarifies that the contestants must throw their shoes from their mat, and that they are not permitted to move their mat.
The shoe-tossing method changes for each round of the game: in the first round, they must simultaneously throw one shoe from each hand; in the second round, they must simultaneously throw both shoes using their less dominant hand; in the third round, they must simultaneously throw their shoes backwards over their heads, without looking; in the final round, they must kick their shoes off of their feet, one at a time.
