In this version of the task, the contestants’ time does not begin until one of the toys on the table is in its target state, which theoretically gives them time to think and prepare.

The task brief is laid on the table in the lab. The brief for the task is as follows:
Make all of these things happen simultaneously:
The robot must walk.
The marble must roll.
The Newton’s cradle must rock.
The fidget spinner and the spinning top must spin.
The sand must fall.
The candles must be out.
The monsters must be ready to jump.
Fastest wins.
Your time starts the first time one of the above things happens.

- Also on the table, there are a marble run course, a wind-up toy robot, two suction cup monsters, a spinning top, a fidget spinner, an hourglass, a Newton’s cradle, and a flødebolle (chocolate-covered marshmallow treat) with three trick candles in it.
