Task brief

The contestants find the task brief inside of their pigeonhole in the hallway of the Taskmaster house. The brief for the task is as follows:

Make Greg the best gift.

You have five minutes to order your items, then 15 minutes to make your gift.

Your items must cost no more than £50.

Your time starts now.

Task notes

Each contestant is supplied with £50 to buy supplies for their gift. For everyone except Sam, this takes the form of a £50 note, inside the task brief. Sam is instead given £50 worth of coins (reminiscent of how Ruben Søltoft was provided with coins rather than a banknote in Stormester’s adaptation of the ‘Buy a gift for the Taskmaster’ task), which immediately begin to spill out all over the floor of the hallway as he attempts to lift the task brief.
The creation of the gifts takes place within grounds of the Taskmaster house, rather than being assigned as a homework task.
The gifts are then presented to Greg on stage in the studio, and are initially covered with red cloths, in the style of Kongen Befaler prize task submissions.
After the gifts have been presented, a special TM wax seal interstitial is shown, featuring Sue’s Venus-Alex pictured in the wax.
