The task brief is laid on top of a plinth in the study. The brief for the task is as follows:
Recreate the fireman’s still life.
You may not, in any way, look at the fireman’s still life.
Best recreation of the still life wins.
You have 30 minutes.

Task notes
- Near the plinth, a barrier of red velvet rope and stanchions has been set up. Beyond them, Trausti the Icelandic fireman is seated behind an easel, upon which there is a canvas featuring a surreal still life painting.
- Trausti’s still life features 20 pigs at the bottom, a penguin in the middle, an elephant with a bird on its head on the left, and a plate containing an Icelandic delicacy of fermented herring (as previously featured on the show) on the right.
